JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
To direct and manage the Component Repair functions, provide for customer centric solutions for customers & ensure high level of customer satisfaction and the desired level of support is provided for the maintenance of products in line with Despatch Reliability goals of Engg. To strategically plan, coordinate and manage the logistics of overhaul/ repair of Components, inhouse and at overseas agencies, in order to control their costs and to enhance their availability , and thus contribute towards reducing unit cost of operation.

Demonstrate a high degree of qualitative service and customer satisfaction when in negotiations and selection of the best repair agencies for repair and overhaul, ensuring high quality standards, lowest costs, and other product support terms including short repair turnaround time, advance component exchanges so as to reduce the unit cost of product maintenance and spare levels investments

To participate in negotiations with vendors and suppliers in addition to internal section managers on any issues related to product performance, repair and warranty, work scope planning taking into consideration vendor’s recommendations.

Plan and manage the approved maintenance programmes, evolve solutions that are customer centric and formulate strategy for the efficient handling of scheduled, unscheduled, casualty and recovery maintenance for the achievement of required standards for Customers while ensuring optimum safety, customer satisfaction and maintenance excellence

Manage and constantly review the departmental budget. Provide financial input towards the Engineering growth plans to optimise costs. Monitor operating costs monthly in order to compile a cost analysis to assist in optimising operating costs

Qualifications/Experience:
10 + years including at least 5 years in a large multinational company with experience in service and maintenance of pumps or related industry.
Should have held positions of authority for a minimum of five years as middle management.
Detailed knowledge of testing/ overhaul / repair and modification of pump components
